Marcy Cassady

Marcy joined Capital Link in 1994 on the heels of leading a referendum in support of school construction in Oldham County. Her Capital Link clients have included Apple Computer, DuPont Pharma, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Coca-Cola, Amazon, the Kentucky Head Start Association, the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents and the Kentucky Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (KAMFT). She is a recipient of the KAMFT Distinguished Service Award for her work on the passage of MFT licensure legislation.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law, Marcy's private practice prior to joining Capital Link included legislative testimony and speech writing for the banking industry, as well as work for the Kentucky Board of Claims. While serving on the boards of State Bank in Harrodsburg and Central Bank Jefferson County, she has published articles in the Kentucky Banker magazine on economic and political thought.

With classroom teachers as parents, she has made time for occasional teaching in areas of interest that include history and AP U.S. Government and Politics. Her teaching work has been honored with invitations to academic colloquia on the Federalist Papers and the history of American education. A native of Pikeville who has lived in Louisville since 1986, she and her husband Ballard have three adult children.
